Summer Enjoyed

I am still learning the art of blogging so forgive my haphazard arrangement of our summer activities. We have enjoyed having all of kids home this summer, Kirk,Jen and family from Tokyo, Dan,Kelley and family from Montana, and all the others that live close to us...which we love. Here are a few pictures and notes of our time together.

Three generations of fishermen
Kirk, Matthew and Mike
Rigby Lake is now stocked with little trout, a wonderful place to take budding fishermen, so Kirk and Grandpa took Matthew in Grandpa's drift boat to the lake. The fish were biting like crazy. They had lots of fun and caught lots of fish

Yellowstone Falls
We arrived late in the day
but still a beautiful sight to see

Pretty Jen and Bella at our family reunion. We had to add this photo,
Jen is usally the one with the camera.

Josh and Wyatt discussing the best way to catch a fish

Another fun activity--- Grandma and Matthew Kirk
picking huckleberries in Kelly Canyon....Yummmmm!

All the grandkids old enough to hold a pole took turns
going fishing with Grandpa on Rigby Lake.
This was Madi, Makayla and Sabrina's turn.

Wonderful Summer!

We have had a wonderful summer. Kirk and Jen came from Tokyo with all their kids. Dan and Kelley came down from Montana with little Miah, Madi, and Wyatt too. They all stayed at our house along with other cousins taking turns to be here to play and enjoy distant cousins. It was a wonderful time for getting close again. We had alot of fun visiting with each other. Kirk had schooling connected with his work so he didn't get to join us til the 2nd week they were here. Grandma Harward drove up with him so she got to join in the visiting and fun.
Then we were off for our own little Bezzant family reunion at Kelley's dad's cabins (thanks so much to him) in Island Park.
Talk about fun, the kids could wade all the way across the river. We had water fun, fishing and rafting, bonfires, wall to wall sleeping arrangements and family stories.

The water was crystal clear and the kids could see fish swimming in the river. In this picture they are showing us the size of a fish they saw. Boy, were they excited.

We had a wonderful whirlwind Sunday, attending the baby Blessings of Paul and Crystal's, and Jon and Andrea's new babies. Then hosted a family dinner for both families at our home. We were lucky to have Great grandma Harward and Great Grandma Bezzant here with us.

Dreamin'

Last week it snowed 14 inches. This week it was freezing cold with 20 mile an hr winds. Mike sits and watches golf and dreams of warmer weather. I found this picture of me and grand daughter Allyson in Hawaii, January 2006. I dream of being there. I can almost feel the warm trade winds and hear the lullaby of soft waves. mmmmmmm

Mike had surgery on his right shoulder Dec. 16th. Dr. repaired a torn rotator cuff, reattached to tendons, removed a bone spur and arthritis. He is feeling better everyday. Now instead of tending to his every need, I have to make sure he wears a sling to remind himself to take it easy.
6 weeks of no mobility--then 6 weeks of gradual activity and he should be able to resume normal activity.
Next posting, 4 new grandbabies in 2008!!!!
